The award winning feature documentary "Through Hell And High Water" was shown at the Downtown San Diego Public Library on September 18, 2005. The film details the evacuation of Norwegians from Northern Norway during the Second World War and includes the personal story of two people who fall in love and eventually get married. The movie features footage of the evacuees, the Royal Marine destroyers and merchant marine ships that participated in the rescue, and aircraft and u-boat attacks on the convoy that lost several ships in the effort.
One crewmember from the Canadian Navy who participated in the rescue and convoy, was on hand to take questions from the audience following the movie.
