Our 2004 Speakers Series will be on Norwegians that have achieved acclaim around the world for their deeds and actions. The coordinators for the speakers series are Dr. Tom Olson and Carl Larsen. The following individuals are Norwegians that have won great acclaim around the world:

	Petter Dass (1647 - 1707) the cleric poet
	Peter Tordenskjold (1690-1720) the young admiral
	Niels Henrik Abel (1802 - 1829) the genius mathematician
	Henrik Ibsen (1828-1906) the playwright
	Edward Grieg (1843-1907) the composer
	Fridtjof Nansen (1861-1930) the statesman
	Edward Munch (1863-1944) the painter
	Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943) the sculptor
