Den Norske Fiskeklubben i San Diego
(The Norwegian Fish Club in San Diego) is a social organization for Norwegians and Americans of Norwegian ancestry to celebrate their heritage. Each month from September through May the Club hosts a monthly traditional Norwegian-style fish dinner served with Norwegian Aquavit and good beer. Our toastmaster conducts the toasts during dinner. The dinners are a way for members to enjoy Norwegian fellowship and uplifting accordion music by charter member Kjell Holmes. The club invites local and international guest speakers on Norwegian-American cultural topics. Dress code is coat and tie. The Club meets on a Friday of each month at 6 PM at the Bay View Restaurant and Lounge, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. December is our formal event featuring a Christmas Gala and Ladies Night.
The 2009-2010 Officers are Skipper Jon Holmerud, Navigator Andreas Ueland and Purser Everett Shogren.
